Field Trip Experience!

At Klausmeyer Farm, we make learning fun for everyone! Our field trip tours are consistent with educational standards, students will have several one-on-one interaction opportunities, and thrive through the various agriculture experiences. You will have a true understanding of how a real farm operates in which students, parents, and teachers will be immersed into the farming culture. Teachers have the flexibility of choosing specific stations and altering the tour experience by selecting and choosing from many of the "self-guided" centers to cater to their specific classroom curriculum, these are listed below.

Our two unique "whole-group" centers we have to offer you are the milking demonstration and pig races. During the milking demonstration, your school group will watch Farmer Dave milk a dairy cow, while Debbie explains the process and provides fun facts about dairy cows and their habitat. Next your group, will sit back and have some plain ole' fun by cheering on your favorite racing pigs at the pig races! We have the fastest pigs in the Midwest and Debbie is ready to show you just how quick and smart these pigs really are.

Finally, everyone can load up on the hayrack ride and grab their pumpkin from the patch! (Note: this will not be the specific order of your tour, each tour will be individualized to better accommodate your own schedule)

Our self-guided centers include the following:

• Feeding the Heifers

• Corn pit

• Petting Zoo (one-on-one interaction with the animals)

• Jumping Pillows

• Corn Maze

• Carnival Games

• Round Bale Maze

• Finding Fossils

• Multiple Playground Areas

• Ax Throwing (Inflatable)

See these "self-guided centers" attractions to give you a better idea of what your experiences will be like!
